Cars in Germany's Town Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Police reported they were contacted by a man who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Approximately 50 automobiles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Police say they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued fluid.

The liquid had been applied in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then located multiple other marked vehicles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement say early analysis show the substance was probably blood from a person.

"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; investigators are currently not cognizant of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they added.

City officials stated they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the residents for details.

A high-ranking representative said the incident rendered him without words and required to be resolved rapidly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right violent incident half a decade ago," he posted on online, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
