Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player won his first championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid period, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in specific - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his initial championship since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface after March of 2023.
Victory also signifies he has secured twenty-one championships at 21 different events.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on court had led observers to wonder if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and play positively, reinforced by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging opponent, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his maiden tour championship, took control to push for a decider.
Moutet saved 4 early opportunities in a close deciding set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner earned victory with a shot at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
